KankMedConnect

Terms of use

The agreement between you and KankMed when you use KankMed Connect.

Last updated: 2 October 2026.

KankMed is not for emergencies. If someone is unconscious, struggling to breathe, bleeding heavily, having chest pain, or you think their life is at risk, go to the nearest hospital or call emergency services. Do not wait for a KankMed clinician.

What KankMed is

KankMed connects you with a licensed clinician for a consultation. KankMed is the platform; it is not the clinician and does not practise medicine. Clinical judgement, diagnosis, prescriptions and advice are the clinician's, and the clinician is responsible for them.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or over to hold an account. An adult may book on behalf of a child or someone in their care and is responsible for what is said on their behalf. You must give accurate information about yourself and your symptoms — a clinician can only work with what they are told.

Clinicians

A clinician must submit their licence and credentials and be verified by KankMed before they can see patients. Practising through KankMed without a current, valid licence is a breach of these terms and ends the account. Keeping the licence current is the clinician's responsibility, not ours.

Consultation choices and payment

KankMed Quick Care costs ₦1,600 for 10 minutes and suits simple symptoms, advice, triage and prescription follow-up. Standard Consult costs ₦3,000 for 20 minutes. Full Consult costs ₦5,000 for 30 minutes and covers new, complex, chronic or multiple concerns. Home visits cost ₦20,000. The booking screen shows your selected price before payment. WhatsApp and USSD BOOK use the clearly labelled Full Consult route. Use the screened web booking for the smaller tiers.

Complete the emergency and complexity questions honestly. Quick Care is not suitable for every problem. Emergency symptoms need urgent in-person care. Complex concerns require Full Consult. A clinician recommends a longer visit where appropriate, and you choose whether to accept.

You pay before care starts. A checkout return screen, receipt image or transfer claim alone does not confirm payment. KankMed checks payment evidence before connecting paid care. Paystack is the live checkout route. Direct Zenith transfers do not currently receive automatic confirmation.

Longer visits and top-ups

An accepted upgrade charges only the difference. Quick Care to Standard adds ₦1,400. Quick Care to Full adds ₦3,400. Standard to Full adds ₦2,000. You do not pay the original consultation fee again. The call pauses while the top-up is awaiting confirmation, unused paid consultation time is preserved, and reconnection uses the same clinician. Waiting to reconnect does not consume your paid consultation time.

Refund policy

If you paid and care did not take place, contact support@kankmed.com with your booking ID and payment reference. Do not send your OTP, passphrase, authenticator code or full bank account number. We check the confirmed payment, consultation delivery and any provider refund evidence before deciding the amount. A pending transfer claim is not a confirmed payment.

A refund of an undelivered upgrade covers the confirmed top-up amount. It does not erase the original completed consultation. Partial refunds, uncertain payment matches, multiple funded upgrades and requests involving care already delivered require staff review. A duplicate payment confirmation does not create a second payment or a second refund entitlement.

A submitted refund request is not proof of a completed refund. We record completion only after provider confirmation. Provider and bank processing times vary. We give you the outcome and reference without promising an unverified arrival date. Keep your payment reference for follow-up. Your rights under applicable law remain unchanged.

Prescriptions

A prescription is issued by the clinician, not by KankMed. It is sent to the phone number on your account. Do not share it. Whoever dispenses it may check it with the clinician.

What you must not do

Availability

We aim to keep KankMed running, but it can be interrupted by maintenance, network problems or a provider's outage. It is not a substitute for a hospital, and it should not be relied on as your only route to care.

Our responsibility

We are responsible for running the platform honestly and carefully, for protecting your information as described in our privacy notice, and for verifying clinicians before they see patients. We are not responsible for a clinician's clinical judgement, and nothing here removes any right you have under Nigerian law.

Ending your account

You can stop using KankMed at any time and delete your account yourself from Account > Delete my account in the app or on the website, or ask us to delete what we hold, subject to the records we are required to keep. We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms.

Changes and contact

If these terms change in a way that affects you, we will say so here and date it. Questions go to support@kankmed.com. KankMed operates under KANK & KEMO ENTERPRISES. See About KankMed.
